17.05.24 at 5pm : WORKShot (public end of workshop)

This workshop is taking place in the frame of the creation research of Durch Den Monsun by Zoé Hagen

To round off this week of workshop in search of our shattered pop stars, we invite you to join us in celebrating the alter-egos that hide and grow within us!
Join us on Friday May 17 at 5pm at Garage29 for a pyjama-cry party. On the program: blingbling and nap, chit chat, karaoke (with or without autotune), open stage, comfort food and special guest star! Bring your star outfits and/or pyjamas and get ready to make your tears glisten.

Pop star éclatée training is a performative laboratory created by Zoé Hagen, Pierre-Louis Kerbart and Alice Giuliani. This training interrogates the role of pop stars in our personal metamorphoses, in dialogue with our imperfections and fantasies, following the iconic doctrine « Fake it until you make it« .

By exploring our extravagances and vulnerabilities, we’ll create fictional pop star characters, capable of performing on stage, in the shower or at the super bowl.

The week’s activities include karaoke, singing and dancing at the same time, team building, resting like real stars, reinventing ourselves through make-up and fashion fittings. Together, we’ll explore our different shiny/shy alter egos, get goose bumps and be surprised by the power of the weak.

The aim is to share performative tools to create a space for exchange, challenge and fun. The workshop will be given by the three artists, offering flexibility in the languages of transmission (French, English, German, Spanish, Italian). The workshop is aimed at anyone with a pop star hidden deep in their heart, whose only childish obsession is to get out of bed and reveal their virtuosity to the world.
